Just a few updates and reminders:   

1. Soccer patches start on Thursday (Usually only one patch will be given out at the end of a practice).  More patches will be given after each game.

2. Games start next Saturday!! Our first Game is on Saturday September the 13th at 1:00!!

It was nice to meet everyone yesterday! ! I just wanted to remind you of the practice location change for Tuesday and Thursday.

Changes: Tuesdays and Thursdays practice will be at Dr. Brick 's field wich is just off off 190 on south side of the road. If you go west on 190 past high school keep an eye out on south side of road and you won't be able to miss it. If you have trouble text or call.

We will continue to have practice at Danner on Mondays and our practice times are still 6:30 to 7:30 until it starts getting darker earlier and then this might have to change.

Thanks to all those who have already contributed to the patches! I promise your children will love it!!

2014-2015 Soccer Fall Soccer Season

Welcome to the 2014-2015 soccer season!!

My name is Jake Bundy and I will be the head coach for your child's soccer team this year. Jeff Collins will be my assistant coach.  Both of us have children on the team; Holton and Jace Bundy and Jadon Collins.  Jeff and I went to an Outstanding Coaches Seminar and season packet pickup last night and have some details to share with you. 

PRACTICE TIMES AND PLACES:  Practice is scheduled as of right now for MONDAYs, TUESDAYs, and THURSDAYs at Danner from 6:30 to 7:30. Our first practice will be on Monday the 25th of August at 6:30 at Danner Park. Keep in mind this may change.  Any changes will be posted here. Please bring a drink of water, a ball, and appropriate soccer gear (shine guards, cleats, shorts, etc...) to every practice. 

FIRST PRACTICE PARENTS MEETING: It is important that all parents/guardians attend the first practice, as there is some paperwork to be handed out and signed. We will have a quick meeting 10 mins before practice begins to go over this stuff.  Please plan on being there early.  

GAME SCHEDULE: Our first game will be on September 13th, however I still do not know when and what time. I will post the full game schedule with times and fields here when that information becomes available. 

MOTIVATIONAL PATCHES: I have in the past used iron on patches to motivate and excite my soccer players. I would like to continue this for this soccer season. Unfortunately, these patches do cost extra.  I am asking everyone pitches in $10 for the fall and $10 for the spring.  If everyone contributes, we will have enough to offer this to our children. We will discuss this more on Monday, however, please bring the $10 for the fall on Monday so that I can order the patches and get started. These patches are a great incentive and the children absolutely love them!!! To understand more I have posted some pictures and examples of what I am talking about. 

   Awarded to the player that can Juggle the ball 5,10,and 25 times as well as the standing offer of a new ball (bought by me) if they can juggle 15 times straight. 

 Awarded to players that score a goal in a game. 

 Awarded to the Player who makes a good passes in a game. 

Awarded to the Player that saves a goal either by playing goalie or defense. 

 Awarded to the Player who plays great defense in a game. 

Awarded to the Player who impacts the game the most. 

Awarded at the end of every practice to the Player that demonstrated good focus, skills, and enthusiasm improving himself/herself and teammates. This patch does not necessarily mean that the player was the most skillful or ran the fastest, but rather payed attention and was ready and willing to learn giving it their all. 

Coach Jake's Blog: I have created a blog in order to post practice times, changes in schedules, rain outs, and so on.  You may give this link out to anyone you want. I am requesting that for each child, ONE cellphone number be provided for texts and phone calls.  I realize that some families have mom's, dad's, aunt's, uncles, step dad's/mom's, grandparents and so on that want to be informed. I feel this is a great thing, however, the more numbers I have to text the more likely the information could be lost (due to text size, bad coverage, and so on) . I will only be texting one phone number per child and then it will be that person's responsibility to inform the other family members or keep track on the blog as to what is happening.
